Student rewarded for swearing

What the f*%& ! This story is absurd to the point of being unbelievable yet, sadly, it is true. Has our already ailing education system really sunk so low as to award exam marks for correctly spelling an expletive? This sends out an appalling message which worries and genuinely saddens me. And the sentence about adding punctuation as a sign of "showing skill" is laughable.

I had no idea that the education system in London was as bad as NYC's. Very interesting.

I had a totally different take on this (on my blog). Keep in mind where this story comes from and the dry sense of humour the English are famous for. Then the story comes across as a kid who set out to shock the examiner. However, the examiner knew what he was up to and instead gave the kid a useless mark and praised his spelling. Read the comments of the examiner again in that light and I guarantee you'll be grinning.
