Rose report
Following on from the previous post, this balanced article from the BBC news website has some very interesting arguments for and against the recent recommendations made by Sir Jim Rose.

Very general. Would be interested to see it translated into number of hours per day in each subject, and how it's different than what is going on now. :]
We use Singapore Math in our homeschool and *whew* it's hard but I think the boys learn a lot from it.
Gosh...I can't even add up how much time I spend outside the classroom doing teacher-related work...and I don't think I want to try to calculate it; might make me too depressed!
